It’s a free tool that helps clean up typical artifacts in AI-generated content — like curly quotes, em dashes, and other subtle formatting issues — using customizable search-and-replace rules.

Is it completely free to use?

Yes. You don’t need to sign up or pay anything. It runs right in your browser.

What does the tool actually fix?

It finds and replaces formatting characters that are often introduced by AI tools. These include:

• Curly quotes (“ ”) → Straight quotes (" ")
• Em dashes (—) → Hyphens (-)
• Ellipses (…) → Three dots (...)
• Times symbol (×) → “x”

And more — depending on which rules you enable.

Does it rewrite my sentences?

No. It doesn't rewrite, paraphrase, or summarise your content. It only applies format-cleaning rules to your existing text.

Is my content stored or sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, saved, or tracked.

Can I add my own cleaning rules?

Yes - you can define your own find-and-replace patterns. This makes the tool flexible enough for writers, editors, coders, and students.

Does it work on mobile devices?

It works best on desktop browsers. Mobile is supported, but you might find it easier to manage larger text blocks and rules on a bigger screen.

Is there a limit to how much text I can paste?

There's no hard limit, but extremely long documents might slow down your browser slightly depending on your device. The input area currently supports up to 25,000 characters.
